Since moving to AZ. I have used Litchfield Auto Repair for both of my vehicles. Everyone I have dealt with has been very professional. I have always felt they have been very honest in what repairs have been necessary. Never felt they were trying to do something that was not necessary. Will continue to use Litchfield Auto Repair for all my auto repairs!

I needed a diagnosis on my late father’s Tahoe. Renee was so patient and well informed me on everything I needed to know about the vehicle and the issues. He further explained the possible outcomes if not repaired and provided options to me. Although I didn’t have the finances to move forward, he had the mechanic tighten some loose ends on my engine to expand its life span as a courtesy. They were very kind and comforting seeing that I’m a woman I was nervous taking my car to any auto shop . I would recommend.

We had a great experience with this auto repair shop. The staff was professional, honest, and took the time to explain what needed to be repaired without pressuring us into unnecessary work. They completed the repairs on time, kept us updated throughout the process, and the pricing was fair with no surprises. We’ve used this shop for almost 8 years and will continue to take our vehicles to Litchfield Auto for services.

Facility - 5 star Transparent Pricing - 2 star Diagnostic helpfulness - 2 star Shuttle driver - 5 star ================= Overall: 3 star TLDR... I have get misfire codes on all my ignition coils during the hot parts of the day when I am driving for UBER. The problem goes away at night and in the early morning to the point the check engine light turns off. No doubt that is a tricky thing to diagnose. It was recommended I do a chemical intake cleaning, as well as a throttle body cleaning and reset. It was $400 before tax. After looking into cost ranges for the service falls within the range of 400-550, so that is fair. However, after speaking with another mechanic, he said that with my car close to 90k the chemical cleaning was really not going to do much because the back of the intake doesn't get cleaned. And that the only way to really clean them is with a walnut blasting. Yes, that is much more expensive, but I already had my fuel injectors and throttle body cleaned around 55k miles and this was money I could have saved towards a proper cleaning. Also, they quoted very high for ignition coils. On the receipt they said the coils cost over $1000 and labor was pennies because the coils sit right on top of the very accessible spark plugs. The highest price I could find for a set of 4 coils was $600 before dealer/mechanic discounts. It sounds like a markup on the part to make it seem like they are not overcharging for labor, but in all likelihood, you're actually paying like $500 an hour for labor in this circumstance. The facility was really clean and the people really nice. They also offer a shuttle. So, I'm leaning towards a 2 star but I know that's just because I'm upset that my check engine light still comes on during my work shifts and I still have power issues during the hot parts of the day, and the experts can't tell me what's going on but are charging me for services that don't do a proper job cleaning my intake at 90k and also tell me parts cost $600 more than I can find them to cost from distributors.

This was my 3rd time using Litchfield Auto and I don’t normally do reviews. I do most of my own automotive repair work but when I need a higher level of mechanical repair or diagnostics, it’s not always easy finding a trustworthy shop. A good friend of mine hooked me up with Litchfield Auto and I was able to speak directly to the owner Phil and he has been spot on every time. Sharp guy. And his mechanics are excellent as I was able to speak directly with them about the specifics of my repairs as well. The shop itself was outstanding in customer service. The office staff are on their game and I got timely updates -both text and calls and was never surprised by the bill or when my vehicle would be ready. I would strongly recommend Litchfield Auto and will surely be using them again in the future. I feel like I know them over there now and they have earned my business. Steve M
