Very very good mechanic. Clearly honest. I have a car they probably could have lied about a hundred times already and made thousands (though I would have just sold the car) but instead they'll let you know everything wrong with it, and also tell you which problems can actually be safety hazards. That way you don't over-spend.

They charged me $75 to change my oil and filter. And even though I had an appointment I waited 5 1/2 hours for my car to be done. I've had this car for five years and every time I change the oil it costs 40 bucks. I definitely will not be returning to this repair shop.

Your review states you were not happy with the price or the amount of time taken. I would like to explain. Your vehicle had a full service oil change with tire rotation and full synthetic oil. We replaced the dirty air filter and tried to reattach a mirror that could not be done due to a cracked windshield. Mike had called you at 11:25am to discuss your vehicle and you had agreed to the price for services and authorized the air filter replacement. Anytime an appointment is made to drop off the vehicle for service, we prioritize services with customers who are waiting, and the work load on the technicians. We do our best to achieve an efficient repair that can minimize costs to be as competitive as possible. Your vehicle was completed just after lunch time. I know you had picked up later that evening. The only way we could perform this service quicker is if you were here waiting with it. You then would be a higher priority to minimize wait time. As far as the price unfortunately on oil changes with vehicles that require full synthetic oil we are limited to the cost of the oil and parts. There is no way to do this for any less. The $10 we charge in labor is not enough to even pay the technician for the work and time it takes to perform this service. I hope that maybe after some explanation and understanding of our industry, you will feel differently about our services. We strive to assure 100% customer satisfaction. Friendly staff but was not satisfied point blank. Had rear half of transfer case replaced because of leak. That repair was good. Also rear pads and rotors are good. Idler arm needs replacing as predicted, no complaints on that. Had front outer axle seals replaced, contrary to what i had suggested prior to that repair, which was pulling the case apart and resealing between mating surfaces. It still leaks. Had CV axles put on. They said they'd guarantee the parts and labor, knowing that my tahoe is lifted prior to repair or quote. The cv boot kept ripping, after the first one they said they'd no longer replace the part but would honor the service guarantee. I just did it myself. Then soon after, brought it in for an alignment directly after putting all new steering and suspension components on it. I had it fairly close to straight before, but noticed cast and camber was not set on it, just toe. I came in and spent a good chunk of my money to walk away not satisfied. Won't bring any more business to them.

I apologize we could not better service your vehicle. It has a lift yes, and we work on many lifted trucks, however when a CV boot tears not due to defective parts our suppliers have a hard time warranting them. We actually had to purchase another one to take care of it for you the first time. Also to get that alignment in spec there would have to be some kind of fabrication to modify the suspension to achieve a better alignment. Usually custom suspensions require custom alignments and different specs. We value you as a customer and would like to retain you as a customer. I set an appointment for 1pm and had my car there at 11:30am but it didn't get looked at till 4pm and because of that they couldn't get the parts they needed to fix the car till the next day. These parts and labor was quoted to me at around 800 which I agreed to out of good faith. When I got home and looked over the receipt I was charged 180 for labor when told it was gonna be 100 in labor because it was only going to take an hour tops to install everything and the rest parts which I looked up and found out they charged me 260 over what I would of costed me to by them myself. They have super knowledgeable mechanics there that I truly believe are the best around at what they do but I was ripped off and took 3 days off work one of which was unpaid because it needed to be fixed. Thanks for fixing my car but that's it.

Steven thank you for your review. I have tried to contact you yesterday. Please call me to discuss as I assure you were not ripped off. One of your parts had to be picked up at a dealer in Mesa. All parts we used on your vehicle were from the dealership and they control the pricing. These were the best parts for your particular repair to use and that's why we went there. Your vehicle arrived at 11.30 and you picked up at 3.00 the next day. Sorry we could not get it done any faster, we had to get the right part for the right repair. Sometimes vehicle break downs are not convenient and we work very to get vehicles finished as fast as possible. I apologize we could not exceed your expectations. I had need of a mechanic in a hurry, as my other mechanic was swamped and couldn't help me. I googled honest auto repair shops and found Litchfield Auto Repair. They worked me in and took excellent care of me and have every time I've returned for my oil changes. They usually require an appointment due to their excellent and honest care. I highly recommend this shop!

The team at Litchfield Auto Repair has worked on 2 of our vehicles. They offer top notch service, pick up and drop off, a generous veterans discount, and the best labor rate price in the area. I really appreciate that they fix what needs fixing and only offer additional related to the specific repair (a new hose, or fluid drain and replace, etc). This gets the job done and helps keep the costs manageable. Finally, they also offer the best battery service that I am aware of anywhere... with a good price, they do the work, and lifetime replacement on AC Delco batteries.

The most Honest work I've ever had done!!!! These guys are great. It's owned by a great guy who really makes sure your comfortable with everything going on during the entire process. I take my work truck there and my Personal vehicles as well!!! They do EVERYTHING and really give honest opinions on things that can wait or things that need done immediately. It's a great Local business and all the guys are always very respectful. Would recommend this place for all your automotive needs!!! It really seems like everyone working there is a big family and better than that they truly treat everyone like they are as well. Have had oil changes done regularly, having some custom stuff done for my car and will be doing my U-Joints soon. I know that they will take care of me like they have been for years.
